Abstract
Objective : Physical, mental and social health integration are important for successful aging. In order to prepare an environment that can adequately respond to aging problems for healthy aging, we would like to examine the social and physical environment of the elderly and the relevance of cognitive impairment.

Methods : Among the 229,099 people who participated in the 2019 Community Health Survey(CHS), the government sought to find out whether the elderly aged 65 or older experienced cognitive impairment due to the social and physical environment. Demographic characteristics were analyzed with frequency analysis and independent T-test for cognitive impairment experience in older adults according to their social and physical environment.

Results : Analysis of cognitive impairment experiences according to physical environmental indicators showed statistically significant differences in all areas, with lower cognitive impairment experiences (p<0.05). Also, the higher the frequency of contact with others in a social environment. The longer the residence period, the lower the cognitive impairment experience (p<0.05).

Conclusion : Analysis of cognitive impairment experiences according to physical environmental indicators showed statistically significant differences in all areas, with lower cognitive impairment experiences (p<0.05). Also, the higher the frequency of contact with others in a social environment. The longer the residence period, the lower the cognitive impairment experience (p<0.05).
